We are looking for a Project Manager to take a key leadership role in a Cross-Border PMI. As Our Next Project Manager you will shape how our PMO drives execution across the organization. The role is initially a six-month assignment, offering full end-to-end ownership of one of the company’s most strategically important initiatives, with strong potential to transition into a permanent position thereafter.
Operating at the heart of the organization, you will work closely with executive leadership, functional heads, and international teams to turn M&A strategy into structure, momentum, and real business results. Key responsibilities
Orchestrate and drive a cross-border M&A integration from initial planning through full execution
Define and drive the integration strategy, roadmap, milestones, and governance structure
Coordinate and align multiple parallel workstreams across countries, functions, and cultures
Ensure alignment between strategic objectives, operational readiness, timelines, and value realization
Drive structure, clarity, and execution discipline within the PMO framework
Act as a central point of contact for senior stakeholders, ensuring clear, proactive, and transparent communication
Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and decision-making in a complex and fast-moving environment
You will be supported by and reporting to an experienced project sponsor team
Qualifications needed
10+ years of experience as a PMI Project Manager in an international setting
Proven track record of cross-border and international project delivery, preferably in integration, change management or transformation initiatives
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly engage, align, and influence stakeholders at all levels
Experience in leading change and managing the people impact of cross-border transformations
Strong capability in senior stakeholder management, including executive-level decision-making forums
Pragmatic, resilient, and solution-oriented approach
Strong personal drive – a hands-on doer with high accountability and execution focus
University degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or similar
Experience from manufacturing or industrial environments, Automotive experience is a strong advantage
English spoken and written
Ideal location Gothenburg Head Office, with some remote work possibility
